Impact & Outcomes

What changes when diagnostics reach further into the country: access, repeat screening behaviour and health outcomes measured across 220+ cities.

Scale is easy to claim and harder to evidence. These studies report the underlying data — how far people travel, how many come back for a second test, and how often a preventive panel found something nobody was looking for — including where the numbers fell short of what we hoped.

Nearly 60% of Redcliffe Labs' Health Check-Ups Are Preventive | Analysis of 25 Lakh+ Health Checks Shows India's Shift From Reactive to Proactive Healthcare

Redcliffe Labs analyzed more than 25 lakh health checks conducted across FY25 and FY26, revealing a growing preference for preventive and wellness-focused diagnostics alongside traditional symptom-led testing. Nearly 60% of diagnostic bookings were preventive, indicating that more people are choosing to monitor their health before symptoms prompt them to seek testing. The shift is particularly visible among younger consumers, with nearly 2 in 3 Gen Z health check-ups focused on wellness and preventive needs. At the same time, Millennials showed a more balanced split between preventive and reactive testing. Tier-2 cities recorded a higher share of preventive health check-ups than Tier-1 markets, suggesting that preventive health awareness is extending beyond India's major metros. Gender-wise, nearly 65% of men's diagnostic activity was linked to preventive health check-ups, compared with approximately 57% among women, highlighting both the progress and the opportunity to make preventive screening more routine and accessible.
