i made a glucose test today and my fasting was 3 mmol/L and after eating it went to 6 mmol/L within one hour and after 2 hours it was back to 3 mmol/L. is this too low or still okay?

Your fasting glucose of 3 mmol/L is slightly low (normal is 3.9-5.5 mmol/L), but it’s not dangerously low unless you feel symptoms like dizziness. After eating, 6 mmol/L is normal, and it’s good that your levels returned to 3 mmol/L after 2 hours. However, if you experience symptoms of low blood sugar (like weakness), it’s worth consulting your doctor to monitor and manage it properly.

A fasting sugar level of 90 mg/dL is normal, but a PP level of 202 mg/dL suggests prediabetes. Consult a doctor for a diagnosis. Managing blood sugar through diet, exercise, and weight control may help, but medication might still be needed.

I have been taking exforge 10/160mg and my fasting blood sugar is 5.0-5.3mg/dl in the morning and 5.7 mg/dl 5hours after eating. Please is it okay

Your blood sugar levels of 5.0-5.3 mg/dL in the morning and 5.7 mg/dL five hours after eating seem to be quite low. Typically, normal fasting blood sugar levels are between 70-100 mg/dL (3.9-5.6 mmol/L), and post-meal levels should be below 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L). It's important to consult your doctor to ensure that these readings are safe for you, especially considering your use of Exforge. Your doctor might adjust your medication or provide guidance on managing your blood sugar levels.

Hi, My fasting glucose levels are often 100-112 (even after 14 hour fasts) which definitely qualifies as having prediabetes but my a1C is 4.9 which is apparently normal/healthy. My doctors have not told me to worry about prediabetes but I am. What do you think? Thanks very much

Your fasting glucose levels are slightly high, but an A1C of 4.9% is normal. Continue monitoring your glucose, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and discuss any concerns with your doctor. Regular check-ups will help ensure you stay on track.

Hi Venod, Your blood sugar levels are mostly within a manageable range, but the 7:00 PM reading of 110-140 mg/dL is slightly higher than the ideal target of 80-130 mg/dL. Continue taking your metformin, monitor your levels, and consult your doctor for personalized advice.
