Baby hiccups after feeding are usually normal and often go away on their own within a few minutes. To help, keep your baby upright and gently burp them, then wait for the hiccups to settle before offering more milk if needed. Hiccups can happen when a baby swallows air or feeds too quickly. Feeding your baby when they are calm, taking short pauses during feeding, and burping them afterward may help reduce frequent hiccups. While hiccups are generally harmless, consult your doctor if they happen very frequently, last unusually long, or regularly interfere with feeding or sleep.
