A Kidney Function Test (KFT) is a group of blood and urine tests that check kidney function. It helps assess waste removal and filtration.

What Does KFT Include?

KFT may include creatinine, urea, eGFR, uric acid, electrolytes and urine tests. The tests included can vary by laboratory and doctor’s advice.

Who May Need It?

KFT may be advised for people with diabetes, high BP or kidney disease risk. Doctors may also recommend it when symptoms or existing conditions require monitoring.

What If Results Are Abnormal?
