What is the test for?
The test measures the levels of C-peptide levels in the blood or the urine. C-peptide analyzes the difference between the total amount of produced insulin in the body and the amount that’s injected into the body.
When to get the test?
The test is done in Type-1 and Type-2 diabetes patients to analyze whether their body is still producing insulin.
What is the normal level?
The normal range of C-peptide is between 0.5 to 2.0 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL).
