Most UTIs are easy to treat and, when treated right, you will rarely face the risk of serious health issues. But in a few cases, UTIs can lead to some major issues and can create serious problems for you. If your UTI gets complicated, then regular treatments will never work and will not be enough to cure it. Maybe because of any underlying condition, the problem gets worsened and then you will need a course of antibiotics which are prescribed specifically for treating complicated UTIs. If you leave UTIs untreated, it can lead to long-lasting kidney infections and can damage the organs forever. Sometimes it can also be life threatening, and you might be put in the hospital until the infection is cleared away.
