When it comes to categorizing the different thyroid issues, there are five types worth looking into. Thyroid complications are witnessed in patients who are either diagnosed with hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.
Some of the complications worth looking out for are:
- Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
- Graves’ disease
- Goiter
- Thyroid nodules
- Thyroid cancer (in severe cases)
