Can Thyroid Nodules Cause Symptoms?

Most of the thyroid nodules that develop and grow around the thyroid gland don’t produce any symptoms. However, if a nodule grows to an exceptionally larger size, that might lead to it being physically visible as a swelling around the base of the neck.
Very few patients with thyroid nodules complain about feeling an obstruction while swallowing food due to the presence of a large mass around the base of the neck.
But, besides that, these nodules are generally harmless and don’t produce any dangerous symptoms in the patient diagnosed with them.
