There is no permanent cure for hypothyroidism yet. However, medicine is evolving and so are the available treatment options.
Currently, hypothyroidism is treated with the daily intake of synthetic thyroid hormones, which replenishes the lack of adequate thyroid hormone levels in the body, thereby regulating the symptoms too.
With proper lifestyle and dietary habits, one might be able to eventually lower their dosage of medication over time.
