Diabetes is directly proportional to elevated blood glucose levels, which is due to the food you are ingesting.
So, if you are eating an unhealthy meal that’s filled with refined carbs, sweets, and foods with a high glycemic index, it will cause a rapid and sharp spike in blood glucose, leading to risks of hyperglycemia.
Eating a healthy meal that’s filled with good levels of protein, fibers, and carbohydrates, is crucial to managing the body’s glucose levels. Relying on processed foods and junk food keeps the glucose levels statically high in the blood, leading to worsening diabetes symptoms.
