Type-2 diabetes is insulin-independent diabetes. This means that despite the body producing insulin (sometimes in abundance), the cells don’t utilize it as they should. This, in turn, leads to higher blood glucose levels.
Some of the symptoms of type-2 diabetes include:
- Excess thirst
- Frequent urination
- Fatigue and weakness
- Excess hunger
- Weight loss
- Mood swings and irritability
- Blurry vision
- Ketonuria (presence of ketone bodies in the urine)
Type-2 diabetes is a progressive condition, so if you are noticing these symptoms, don’t take them for granted. Instead, focus on getting an immediate diagnosis and quicker treatment.
