My wife was diagnosed with 25-30 /hpf in Urine route and microscopic examination. In Urine Culture test which shows no bacterial growth after 48 hrs of incubation.
What does that means?

It is important to know here if the patient is having symptoms of UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).
The presence of pus cells with negative culture is known as Sterile Pyuria. It may be found in different conditions
like interstitial cystitis, renal stones, tuberculosis of kidney etc.
If the patient is having symptoms of UTI, a very low bacterial count may be present in urine, which may not be significant enough in terms of CFUs to be reported as a positive culture.
Also require history of any antibiotics intake ,if yes ,then how many days prior…
