Type-1 diabetes is a chronic disease, which can become life-threatening if it’s not diagnosed or treated. Since the lack of insulin in the blood lead to hyperglycemia or elevated blood glucose levels, the persistence of that can lead to a series of diabetes-induced complications.
This can include:
- Heart complications
- Stroke
- Kidney damage
- Vision-related issues
- Nerve damage and a lot more
Although the severity doesn’t happen overnight, lack of a diagnosis and treatment of type-1 diabetes can induce so many complications, which can lead to fatalities too.
