Adding fruits into your meal is a very healthy option because they are rich in various significant nutrients like fiber, vitamins and minerals. But still there are some fruits that comes with high sugar content and can cause a hike in blood sugar levels. However, fruits like watermelon, overly ripe bananas are not good for sugar patients. Always try to eat fresh fruit because it contains the sugar which is named as fructose and that does not affect the sugar levels.
Try to avoid eating those dry fruits which have a very high sugar content like dates, raisins, fig, etc. These increases your sugar level immediately. However, you can have 1 or 2 dates if you make a combination with low carb and high fiber dry fruit like walnuts and almonds.
