Your diagnosis of diabetes will start with the symptoms. If you are experiencing symptoms like fatigue, frequent urination, excessive thirst, etc., you first need to consult your healthcare provider.
Based on your symptoms, personal medical history, and family medical history, your doctor will prescribe a series of tests, including:
- Blood glucose fasting
- Post-prandial blood glucose test
- HbA1C test
- Glucose tolerance test
- Random glucose test, etc.
Based on the test results, your doctor will be able to determine whether or not you have diabetes.
