Like any other medication, even diabetes medications can impose certain side effects, including:
- Nausea
- Bloating
- Diarrhea
- Upset stomach
- Vitamin B12 deficiency
- Loss of appetite
- Swelling
- Shortness of breath
- Darker colored urine
- Fatigue, etc.
If you notice these symptoms come up after you have started your diabetes medication, discuss the same with your doctor. Depending on the severity of the symptoms, your doctor will either change or adjust the dosage or composition of the medicines you are on.
